Two Silver Awards for “Laminated, Like Back Then”

At Dani komunikacija 2026, the “Rolled, Like It Used to Be” campaign won two silver awards, once again proving that an authentic local story, told with sincerity and restraint, always finds its audience.
Created in collaboration with the creative team at Bruketa&Žinić&Grey, the campaign received silver awards in the idejaX – Best on Market / Food and idejaX – Best TV Commercial & Film categories. Dani komunikacija is the largest and most prestigious festival of creative communications in Croatia and the region, bringing together the industry’s most successful and relevant campaigns each year.
The silver award in the idejaX – Best on Market / Food category confirms that both consumers and industry professionals recognized the value of the product and the story behind it, in one of the market’s most competitive categories. The second silver award, for Best TV Commercial & Film, went to the campaign video itself; a simple, warm and authentic portrayal of home cooking and the spirit of Međimurje, featuring two real grandmothers from the region in the leading roles.
“Laminated, Like Back Then” was created from a desire to show that some values never go out of style: patience, quality and flavours that bring back memories of homemade meals. Through the campaign, we told the story of rolled pasta traditionally made in households in northern Croatia, rich in eggs, full of flavour and recognizable in texture. A pasta not inspired by tradition, but truly born from it.
A special emotional touch was brought by Nadica and Ingrid, two authentic women from Međimurje whose warmth, spontaneity and natural presence became the heart of the campaign. There was no need for loud messages or artificial acting; authenticity was enough. In a short time, the campaign found its place across television, digital platforms and social media, while audiences welcomed it exactly as we had hoped: with smiles, nostalgia and a sense of recognition.
For Marodi, these awards are more than recognition of creativity and communication. They confirm the approach we have been building for years: believing in local stories, trusting product quality and staying true to ourselves. Because premium does not have to feel distant or cold. It can be warm, local and proudly rooted in Međimurje.
And that is why “Laminated, Like Back Then” is more than just the name of a campaign. It represents the way we believe good things should still be made.
