Túrós Csusza
Túrós csusza is a traditional Hungarian pasta dish made with soft cottage cheese or quark, sour cream, and crispy bacon. It originated as a rural comfort food and became popular for its simple yet satisfying flavors. The word "csusza" comes from the Hungarian verb "csúszni," meaning "to slip," referring to the slippery, handmade pasta traditionally used in the dish.
Often enjoyed as a savory main or side dish, Túrós csusza reflects Hungary's deep-rooted culinary culture, combining dairy with rich, hearty ingredients.
