Grand Prix secured — and we’re coming home with a full collection of accolades

It is a special feeling when our work proves its value before diverse panels of experts whose names carry true authority within their respective industries. The project “A Story That Counts” achieved outstanding success at Dani Komunikacija 2025, winning the Grand Prix at IdejaX, multiple gold awards, and reaching the finals of MIXX Awards.
Each year, Dani Komunikacija brings together the entire creative and marketing industry in Croatia. Awards earned at competitions such as MIXX and IdejaX confirm that we have reached the highest standards in integrated communications, effectiveness, and creativity. Particularly noteworthy is the MIXX final in the Cross-Media Integration Campaign category, which stands as proof of our successful integration of diverse media channels and the creation of a strong, unified digital message.
Ultimately, the crowning achievement is IdejaX. This competition celebrates creativity and innovation, with the Grand Prix representing its highest honor. “A Story That Counts” proudly claimed this prestigious title, while also winning three gold awards in 2025 in the categories Best Print, Positive Change – Society, and Positive Change – Food. This recognition highlights the project’s multifaceted value—from its distinctive visual identity and strong activist message to its seamless connection with Marodi pasta as the very core of the concept.
To recall, the inspiration behind “A Story That Counts” stemmed from the fact that the Međimurje folk song (Međimurska popevka) was inscribed in 2018 on UNESCO’s Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. This recognition ensures that the popevka remains protected as long as it continues to be performed and nurtured. In order to contribute to its preservation and pass it on to future generations, a unique collection of five books dedicated to Međimurje folk songs was created. Each book is accompanied by specially designed packaging of Marodi alphabet pasta, containing the exact number of letters required to spell out the lyrics of a song.
Winning the Grand Prix and numerous other awards at Dani Komunikacija undeniably confirms that “A Story That Counts” is highly valued and deeply rooted in the local context, serving as a benchmark of excellence, inspiration, and effectiveness within the Croatian creative industry.
